What happens on site
Moisture test
Residual moisture in the slab decides whether an epoxy floor can be laid at all.
Mechanical preparation
Diamond grinding or shot blasting to open the surface and remove laitance.
Priming and repair
Cracks and joints filled, then primed so the body coat cures evenly.
Body coat and finish
Resin poured or rolled, then the topcoat sets slip resistance and sheen.

Epoxy flooring questions
Can an epoxy floor be laid outdoors?+
Epoxy is an interior material. Outdoors it is finished with a UV-stable polyurethane topcoat, or replaced with a stone carpet system where the surface is fully exposed.
Does the slab need grinding?+
Yes. Mechanical preparation is what makes the bond. Coatings applied over an unground, sealed slab lift, whatever the resin quality.
How slippery is the finished floor?+
Slip resistance is set by the topcoat. A broadcast aggregate is added for ramps, wet zones and workshop floors; showrooms usually stay smooth.
